Size Guide

Choosing the right rug size is the easiest way to make a room feel complete. Here’s a simple guide.

Living Room

  • 5′ x 8′: small seating areas, under a coffee table with furniture partly on the rug
  • 8′ x 10′: standard sofas — front legs of the sofa on the rug
  • 9′ x 12′: large sofas, all furniture legs on the rug

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond the table on every side, so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.

Bedroom

  • Runner or 4′ x 6′ beside the bed
  • 8′ x 10′ under the bed, with 12-18 inches visible on each side

Hallways & Entryways
A 2′ x 6′ or 2′ x 8′ runner works best.
